Team Bachman - Rd 1

OMA Round #1 Hanging Limb, TN

At the 1st round of the OMA Nationals in TN our team had a very exciting youth event planned at a fairgrounds that we had lined up for an offroad riding demo, product giveaway, and a Christian based message. But on Thurs morning it started to rain hard until Sat morning, and I dont mean spinkles, I mean I was starting to build my ark and float to the racetrack. After receiving several calls about our youth event wondering if we were canceling, I said no matter what we will be there. We had a great time displaying our bikes and getting dressed up for the kids, but we had to cancel the riding demo. The event at the fairgrounds lasted about 2hrs and despite the weather. I think everyone had a great time. Sat. morning it was still raining and we couldnt get into the racetrack so I took my kids to a hotel with an indoor pool and left them there till Sun after the race, they were happy they didnt have to sit at the track all weekend in the mud. Sun. morning we were invited to pit our team with the guys from Rekluse, that helped out so much and we were happy to hang out together for raceday promoting each other. We had many comments on our bikes and our team shirts and coats, I was happy people noticed. I think all of us on the team had terrible starts, except I know I beat Josh Strang off the line cause he passed me very soon [my goal is to beat Josh off the line and tease him about it as much as I can]. I was very happy to see Chris Nelson and Cooper Bailey push hard to the very end, Aaron Branham and myself were not so lucky, Aaron hurt his wrist and I got very tired of crashing and we didnt finish the race. All of us are making plans to get better starts and finish better at the next round May 2-4th in Millerstown, KY. I would like to thank pro racers Jimmy Jarrett, Josh Strang, Alan Westerfield, Derek Spangler, Jordan Ashburn, Cooper Bailey, Aaron Branham, Chris Nelson, Bill, Monte and Darcy Gusse for attending our event at a very rainy fairgrounds. If you sent product to give away thank you very much. If you are a pro racer attending the OMA race in KY we will be going to a youth detention facility Fri morning and will be hosting an event at a fairgrounds in Hartford KY on Fri evening, you are welcome to attend and represent your sponsors.
