Parts Unlimited OMA Nationals... It's Go Time!
Setting the stage for our 8 th year and running in Tuscumbia, Alabama at the 7 Springs Lodge. OMA is presenting 4 new rounds to our racers: Tuscumbia, Alabama / Fort Smith, Arkansas / Winterset, Iowa / Carrollton, Kentucky.
Reigning Champion Paul Whibley will once again be returning, FMF Pro Am Yamaha backed to defend his 3 rd OMA Championship. Paul the never ending trainer has been consistent with his training and racing in New Zealand, and will be returning soon to run the OMA’s and GNCC’s.
The latest on Team Geico riders… Jimmy Jarrett and Scott Watkins will be Official Factory American Honda mounted, yes, American Honda mounted! Team Geico is keyed up with the change of mounts and looks forward to a successful year on the Factory American Hondas. Congratulations to the entire Team Geico!
A twist on things for 2011… OMA will be cutting back one round, round 7 in Winterset, Iowa for all ATV’s. The decision to cut the ATV series back to 9 rounds was due to several reasons, and this also assist racers following the series less travel expense and travel. There will be the same amount of throw aways for nine rounds as 10, three for amateurs, and One for Pros.
On the motorcycle side… Pros year end qualification for 2011 has been revised. You will have one throw away; however, we have lowered the number of events for you to run to qualify for the year end Parts Unlimited purse. You must run 7 out of 10 events to qualify for the Parts Unlimited purse money.
OMA will be co-sanctioning with several series this year, and would like to give them recognition for their support. A.H.S.C.S. (Arkansas Hare Scramble Championship Series), JML Promotions, I.E.R.A. (Iowa Enduro Riders Asso), Twin Bay Trail Riders, Super Nationals XC Series, along with the OMA Winter Nationals, and the MXC Series (both series affiliated with UOR Racing). We at OMA look forward from the regional support of these co-sanctioning bodies.
OMA will be running 50cc motorcycle classes at all events with the exception of rounds 3 & 9. There will be mini atv classes ran at these rounds: 6, 7, 8, & 10. However there will be no year-end awards for these classes.
One note to the Professional racers: Blue backgrounds and yellow numbers, Mandatory!
The official scoring system of the OMA Nationals is the MotoTally transponder system. Transponders will be available for purchase or rent, $10 buy / $5 rent.

Smith has set up a program for the series that includes a gift certificate to go to each class winner at each event, along with many other awards to be announced at the events. Last year due to health reasons, I couldn’t keep up with the “Wrap Up” Reports, but feeling better I will once again, OMA will be running what we like to call the “Wrap-Up Report”, photos of Pro’s, but mostly amateurs after each event. Due to the fact this project is time consuming watch for within a week after each event. We also have launched the product review page for our sponsors for you to keep updated on new products, sales, and all updates with the sponsors.

Over $1 Million Cash in Maxxis’ 2011 Race Contingencies
Maxxis is offering lucrative cash contingencies totaling more than one million dollars to all ATV and motorcycle racers in seven major U.S. race series.
You read it correctly - cash! Not just discounts, coupons or free product, but cold, hard cash. Payouts are available for first through third place in most classes!
“Maxxis has a long history of supporting ATV and motorcycle racing, and we’re going big again this season,” said Scott Perkins, marketing specialist for Maxxis’ Specialty Tire division. “We know that riders’ expenses keep increasing, and cash payouts can go a long way to help.”
Payouts range from $25 all the way up to $500 for the pro class in certain series. Riders can earn cash in the following series: ATV Motocross Nationals; Extreme Dirt Track Nationals; GNCC ATV and MC; Maxxis New England ATV – MX; Mid America XC Racing ATV and MC; OMA Nationals ATV and MC; and WORCS ATV and MC.
